One golden heart

stopped beating,

two toiling arms at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

You fought so hard

to stay with us,

your fight was all in vain.

God looked upon your weary face,

and freed you from the pain.

Your memories are a keepsake from which we will never part,

God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts.

Darling mum,

You arrived in Australia on the Queen's birthday in 1957, and now together you leave, how fitting.

You were such a supportive partner to dad, tirelessly working together to realise your dreams.

I admired your resilience and ability to manouvre through life's obstacles with love, grace and humility.

You were so proud of your two girls, and you gave us everything you had and for that, I am eternally grateful. I remember your always busy hands, not only working, but creating works of art with your intricate crochet skill, your sewing and tapestries. Having family and friends over gave you so much pleasure, your hospitality was renowned and your homemade hilopites and sweets are simply legendary.

The arrival of your grandchildren were a special blessing for you and Dad and we all saw the love you showered upon them. In recent years you were lucky enough to become a

Great-Grandmother, and the cheeky, humorous. love-filled interactions between you and them were a joy to behold.

Your family was your world, and you were ours.

How special that we were able to share in your recent 90th birthday, filled with happiness and celebrations of you.

These memories, and knowing you are reunited with Dad, Helen and our beautiful Ben are what will give me comfort in the days ahead.

My heart felt thanks and love to everyone at St Basil's Croydon Park for looking after and loving my mum Nitsa.

Rest easy now,

Love you

always and forever,

your daughter,

Mandy.
