The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Dear Grandfather
You were a beautiful soul, as the days pass we mourn you in our lives. It’s incredibly hard to not hear your voice any more. I will always be connected to you by the sound of Aretha Franklin and Eva Cassidy’s voice. The sunshine we all could look up to in to in the sky.
You opened my heart to the sound of music and I will forever honour you for that. You have made my connection to the arts and now i want to give it back to you with my painting. You understood what family meant and loved it dearly.
You will live eternally in our memories.
Goodbye Grandfather
