Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
To my beautiful Dad,
My heart will be forever broken without you here. Nothing will ever be the same.
You have been my beacon of love, laughter, generosity and kindness throughout my life. You have been a fierce protector and my soft place to fall.
Your love for me was pure and I will hold and cherish it with me for eternity.
My love for you is same. Your words, sayings, lessons & guidance will stay with me forever and they will drive me through my life until we meet again.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me. All the blood, sweat and tears you endured to provide a beautiful life for me.
I have so many amazing memories of the adventures we shared on road trips up to Queensland driving to the Greyhound Tracks. With you serenading us with your 50s & 60s music, eye spy games and family sing alongs. Memories I will cherish forever.
I will miss your cheeky smile, your beautiful blue eyes, your comforting pats on the head and your one liners that could knock anyone off their feet.
Thank you for being a lovely grandfather to Ava and Sapphire. You loved their singing and you were their biggest fan.
You are a true gentleman, the acts of kindness I have witnessed over the years to your family, friends and to total strangers have shown your essence of how much of an amazing person you are and how you have impacted so many people for the better.
Dad you were our walking Angel on earth but now its time to fly in Heaven. I am sure your reunion was spectacular .
I love you so much,
Your Daughter Andrea xo
