Vale John Bascomb Waters QC Members past and present of James Muirhead Chambers wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the family of John Basten Waters QC upon his recent passing. John Waters was one of Darwin s leading lawyers for decades. A Darwin man, who served the law with distinction. He was a legal practitioner whose well founded reputation was that of one who constantly took up the cause of the worker, the poor and the disadvantaged and whose skill and expertise was matched with his fierce commitment and courage. He set an example by inspiring and mentoring many young practitioners. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all members of Chambers. The Territory legal system is lessened by his loss.
