By earnest right entitlement a caring patriach breached protocol - smuggled and tucked his three year son alongside a vacant hammock - men's quarters - for the night. Morning the father prepared for deck assignments - leaned forward finger across lips - motioned a hushed "sssshhhh" - conveying silence harbours safety.
By routine inspection of sleeping deck - naval officer espied a toddler's torso outline beneath blanket - "what have we here" - Alien eyes locked into welling nascent eyes - Wailing - Pandemonium - at Captain's Post - No personnel felt adequate - no amount of candy could coax or contain the toddler's hysterical crying.
