The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
TSEN, Sam (Kok Vei). - March, Year of the Horse - 4 September 2002 I wonder how different things would be if you were still here. We would have celebrated your (real) 70th birthday this year. (You weren't lying when you'd tell us you were 60. We should have listened to you, you funny, clever 'old man'). We'd have breakfast together and talk sense and logic. Would I have moved to Sydney? I cry like you and have your temper. What if you and Mum had taken up dancing? Miss your kisses on my forehead. Ten years and every day a thought of you. Love you. - Lily. x
