The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
We can shed tears that he is gone, OR we can smile because he has lived.
We can close our eyes and pray that he will come back, OR we can open our eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because we can’t see him, OR you can be full of the love that you shared.
We can turn our back on tomorrow and live yesterday, OR we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
We can remember him and only that he is gone, OR we can cherish he's memory and let it live on.
We can cry and close our mind, be empty and turn our backs, OR we can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
There are no words to ease the pain of such a loss, other than my two only brothers can finally be reunited with one another in the heavens above.
All my life I'll miss you cuzbro as the years come and go, but in my heart I'll keep you because I love you so.
Love ALWAYS and FOREVER your sister, cousin, niece and newborn nephew..
Dana, Indy'rose and Asher ❤️ xx
