Hon Thomas (Tom) Pauling AO KC
Charles Darwin University would like to pass on our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late, Hon Thomas (Tom) Pauling AO KC.
Mr Pauling was a dear friend of Charles Darwin University, and a passionate and enthusiastic supporter of arts in the Northern Territory.
Mr Pauling was a member and later chair of the CDU Cultural Collections Advisory Board.
His leadership saw ime chairing the inaugural meeting of the CDU Art Gallery Advisory Committee in late 2022.
Mr Pauling's contribution to CDU's art collection and gallery endeavours were admirable.
He and his wife Tessa also donated to the CDU Art Collection, and Tom remained a staunch supporter of the University's art activities over the years.
Mr Pauling will long be remembered for his commitment to the legal profession and to the arts, both of which he consistently sought to grow and nurture in the Northern Territory.
He was a much admired and respected Territorian who was dedicated to promoting these passions in various roles, including his Vice Regal appointment as the 19th Administrator of the Northern Territory, serving from 2007 to 2011.
The Charles Darwin University community extends our deepest sympathies to his beloved wife Tessa, and children Fred and Zoe, and grandchildren Millie, Alice, Azlyn and Eliza.
