Mrs Abbott Perrurle Akeyulerre Healing Centre Elders, Committee, Members and Staff offer our sincere and heart-felt condolences to the family on the passing of Mrs Abbott. We are all deeply saddened. Mrs Abbott as an Elder, law woman and teacher was and always will be part of Akeyulerre s cultural heart. She was one of our long standing cultural governors. She worked tirelessly to ensure that important knowledge, songs and dances were being passed on to younger generations. She committed her life to her people and the many organisations that she worked with over her life. She was a recognised law woman across many Nations. A strong leader for her family and for the wider Arrernte community, her passion, knowledge, commitment to teaching young people and her warm-hearted, generous spirit will be sorely missed.
