MITCHELL, Hugh

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Executive, players & staff of the Essendon Football Club and the EFC Past Players & Officials Association, we wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Mitchell family on the passing of their beloved Hugh.

Hugh played 224 games with the Bombers between 1953 and 1967, played in two Premierships in 1962 and 1965 and was the Club’s best and fairest winner in 1959. Hugh was a Life Member of the Club, Hall of Fame Member and was ranked Number 47 in the Champions of Essendon.

Hugh will be truly missed by all the Essendon Family.
