Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
McCONNELL, Joan19.10.1936-23.8.2014 One year ago today my world changed forever. Your leaving was so unexpected but I know by the peaceful look on your face and by your smile that you were happy to be taken by the hand and led to another place. Please don't worry Mum. I'm not alone. Val, Karen and Alison walk with me. Gary and Darren aren't far away and Ashlyn and Annelyse keep me busy. But then, you would know that Mum because I feel you with me everywhere I go. Until that faithful day when we are together again, I will always be only half a person. Mum, I will love you forever and ever and I miss you. Love Michele and family.
