The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
LEE (Thornburgh), Stacey and Justin. - I know I only got to see you for 11 months, I miss the way you used to hold me in your arms, I like to hear your voice, it brings back memories. I wish you were still here so that you could be a part of our lives, see me play basketball and hear me sing. I know you watch over us but it's just not the same. R.I.P. Love - Joel. I know that I never got to meet you, but I love you just the same. We always talk about you both and I love to hear stories about you. I wish you could watch me play cricket and basketball. Stacey I wish you could be here with me so that I could see you for the first time, and I could play with your children. Love - your nephew Kane. Every day our thoughts are with you, especially each and every milestone that we celebrate. Our hearts ache and wish that you were here for us to share with you and the family you would have had. We enjoy sharing stories and looking at our photo albums but it's just not the same as you being here, but it's our way of keeping you close. You will live on in our hearts forever. Love - Cara.
