The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
My darling Garry (honey),
with every dawn the sun rises, it tries to lift my sadness,
I’m just as empty as you left a year ago,
then dusk is upon me and all I feel is the emptiness,
where did the time go?
Of days without you,
I’m lonely without your presence,
my heart aches and fills with my tears for you,
I love you with all my essence.
