Whether the skies are blue or grey We feel you looking down on us each day Now and again we still hear your voice Though sometimes your words wouldn't be our choice
You'd handle some of this a different way You've gotta know we're gonna be okay We're still guided by your sound advice It still makes us think over things at least twice
Now in the cold we need to feel warm You were always great getting up a storm Thunder and lightning all in a good cause For the calm after the storm is no pause
It's the time where families huddle together To talk about things more important than weather Where we differ and where we agree And no matter what how we'll always be
Just letting you know that you're still there More than a thought or even a prayer Not always up front but always within Helping us take what we must on the chin
Love from Edith, Cos and Rose.
