The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
If I could have a lifetime wish
and one dream that could come true.
I would pray to God with all my
heart just to see and speak to you.
A thousand words won’t bring you back
I know because I’ve tried
and neither will a million tears
I know because I’ve cried.
You’ve left behind my broken heart
and precious memories too.
But I’ve never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
Angela My Darling,
I miss you every minute
of every day
You are forever and will be
always in my heart
and in my thoughts.
Until we meet again my darling.
Your forever loving
and devoted husband,
Nick
