Chris, Mum, it's been one year since you left us in body yet you have been with us every day since. It still feels surreal & the urge to pick up the phone and speak to you never goes away. You were a kind soul who was always willing to help, and who impacted the world of anyone lucky enough to know you. The messages, letters & cards received following your passing, & the attendance at your funeral showed us just how much of an impact you really had. Messages received from students, parents, friends, family & loved ones. You were told often that you were an inspiration but never accepted that kind of title. To you, this was normal. With all the uncertainty and restrictions of today, we're all so thankful that you were able to get the send-off you deserved. A church full of people wanting to say their farewells & a guard of honour made up of students, past & present. Melanoma was a part of your life for such a long time. It swung so many punches but you always punched back every time. You travelled afar, spent valuable time with your grandkids & made sure to live life on your terms. A strength to be admired. One thing that's certain, you'll be looking down making sure this tribute has correct spelling and grammar. Always in our hearts & minds; never forgotten.
