The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
BUCK, Joan Eleanor Rose 7 February 1934 - 12 June 2012They say memories are golden, Well maybe that is true, But I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. So many times I have needed you, So many times I've cried, If love alone could save you, You never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still,In my heart you hold a place,No one else will ever fill. If tears could build a stairwayand heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Even though your time is over and I must walk alone, my smile stays with our memories, My heart is your new home. Your loving husband Ralph, daughter Lenore, son Michael, and all the family.
