Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

To know Pa was to be lifted up by his extraordinary light and wisdom, his curiosity and intellect, his humour and warmth.

Generations of cricketers, scouts and councillors are richer for having learned from and laughed with Bill.

How lucky we are to have loved and be loved by our Pa.

It was an extraordinary first class innings.
