Died peacefully and quite suddenly of advanced dementia. Well cared for in Eldercare Goodwood in
his last few weeks.
Loving and devoted
husband to Phillipa, married for nearly seventy years.
Brother of Janet and
brother in law of Bryan.
Father of Andrew,
Michael and Joanna.
Father in law to
Susan and Claire.
Much loved “Gramps” to Alice, Alexander and Annabel and their partners Nick and Clare and Grandpa to Eleanor and Michaela.
Great grandfather to Audrey and Oliver, Charlie, Layla, Aoife and Scarlett.
A man who achieved much but gave more to family, friends and community.
Instilled the values of persistence and determination in
achieving life goals.
Values passed on and
which run strongly
through generations of
the Saies family.
A highly respected contributor to the
South Australian
sailing community.
A Scotch College “Legend”, the school was a significant part of his life.
Now time to set sail for
that distant horizon.
Dearly missed.
He will be long remembered.
