Athol Herrick Kelly designer of an Australian sporting flag, was born in 1927 in Pyramid Hill to Lona and James Kelly during the Great Depression. He was one of seven children.

He was an exceptional man and lived an incredible life and was very lwell loved by his wife Margo and seven daughters, sons and daughters-in-law and ten grandchildren.

Athol received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne in 1962 and went on to have Administrative responsibility for the creation of the second Medical School in New South Wales.

During his illustrious carreer, he worked as Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Victoria, Registrar of the Pharmacy Board of Victoria and Executive Vice President and Director of the Victorian Automobile Chanber of Commerce and Executive Director of Australian Automobile Chamber of Commerce.

Athol also served as a Justice of the Peace from 1962 to 2015.

Restrateur and Principal and Managing Director of Stotts off-campus College.

He will be sadly missed.
