In loving memory of "Big Mick" Hennessy. With great sadness we announce that our beloved father (of Michael, Annemarie and Wendy), father-in-law (of Fran, David and Tom), and grandfather (of Jack, Clare, Leo, Andrew, Max, Henry, Evie, Reuben and Eleni) died peacefully in the evening of 24 September 2021. He longed to rejoin his beloved Pammy, our much loved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, now 4+ years deceased.

Mick was the publican raconteur who set the bar for publican raconteurs, a successful not so small businessman, health and building inspector, builder and doting family man. He trusted his own business and streets smarts to good effect, led others with ease, and many benefited from his generosity. True to his Irish heritage, he was, and will always be to his family, handsome and brave.

We are very grateful for the extraordinary care provided by the staff who cared for Mick (and Pam) at the John Grimes Centre - Sundale, Nambour.

A memorial celebration will be announced in the near future, when we can all travel to safely celebrate together.
