Our colleague and friend Peter Hayes will be sadly missed. Peter passed away in Ballarat Hospital after a short illness. He was kind, hardworking and well respected, having spent 12 years as a Registration Officer at the previous Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria and 10 years working with Ahpra.
Peter was known for his tireless work in registration for Overseas Medical Practitioners and was highly regarded by all who had contact with him, including the practitioners themselves and the agencies that employed them.
Colleagues from the former medical board and Ahpra send our thoughts out to Peter’s family at this very sad time.
