Fr Frank returned to God’s loving embrace peacefully at Mercy Place, Parkville, on Saturday 9 January 2021, aged 92. Frank is survived by his 2 sisters Geraldine Byrne and Josephine Rolston. Frank was professed in the Blessed Sacrament Congregation, Australian Province, on 5 February 1956 in Bowral as Brother Baylon SSS. He later studied for the Priesthood and was Ordained, 2nd December 1978. Frank served as a faithful servant in many ministries, in Melbourne, Sydney, Toowoomba, and especially as Parish Priest of Como and Kensington, Perth, Western Australia. He was Chaplain to the Life in The Eucharist Team, Author of online ‘Eucharist The Basis Spirituality’, and member of Grow [Catholic Charismatic Renewal. He enjoyed bush walking, delighted in the garden and Australian Native plants. He had a wicked sense of humour and a lover of classical music. He will be missed by his extended family, his SSS brothers and his many friends. He will be remembered for his gentleness and prayerfulness. At peace in the Lord’s embrace. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday 18 January 2021 at St Francis’ Church, Melbourne followed by an internment at Williamstown Cemetery. Under current COVIDSafe arrangements, limited seating will be available at the Funeral Mass.
