Despite all the horrors and tragedies Eddie Jaku endured during the Holocaust, said he was still “the happiest man on earth” vowing to smile every day.
Cookie served Tasmania Police for 31 years. Many of those years were in Radio Dispatch Services and most recently as the Sergeant at Oatlands. Cookie looked after those around him, both personally and professionally. He personified the role of a Sergeant and loved working in his community. Cookie was much loved and respected, and his loss is felt deeply by all of us. The Commissioner, Members and Employees of Tasmania Police are saddened by his passing and offer their deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
