Austin’s unwavering dedication and commitment to the Northern Territory have left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Together with his beloved wife, Dr. Val Asche AM, Austin was a valued member of our community. The Asches were the inaugural recipients of the Menzies Companion Award, a recognition of their exceptional contributions and steadfast support for the growth and success of Menzies.

Throughout his life, Austin exemplified generosity, compassion, and a commitment to service. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we honour his memory and the profound impact he made on our lives and work.
