It's hard to imagine you not here
we all hold your memory so dear.
If you don't mind once in a while,
we'll pretend you're here and put on a smile.
We'll talk of things that made us laugh,
of dolls and beads and all that stuff.
You opened your heart and held dear
many of us both far and near.
The gift of love and concern you share
is what makes so many of us care.
But I'm sure as I sit with my mother some days,
we will feel your presence in many ways.
We'll find a book or a special tea cup,
and it will lift our spirits right up.
For we will know you are now at rest,
and we have memories that are the best.
So our darling Barb, it is not goodbye,
I know you wouldn't leave us high and dry.
So let us know when you are near,
give us a nudge and a flick on the ear,
