ADAMS, ZENA DORIS (Nee REILLY)
Formerly of ‘Darracourt’, Blackall and more recently Blackall Retirement Village and McLean Place, passed away at the Blackall Hospital on Sunday morning, 13th October 2019, aged 93 years. Widowed by the death of her beloved husband PHILLIP SYDNEY ADAMS, 22 January 2013 at 96 years, Zena was then shaken by the death of her only son and oldest child, ASHLEY PHILLIP ADAMS in 2015.
Her five daughters – Janneale Margaret BYLETT of Brisbane, Wendy Elizabeth JUST, Robyn Mary ADAMS, both of Blackall, Kathryn Jane MOLONEY of Wallumbilla and Lesley Kaye ADAMS of Mitchell, invite you to Zena’s Funeral o at the Blackall Anglican Church.
A Celebration of Zena’s life will follow, reflecting on ‘The Warrior Queen of Darracourt’ and the Darracourt of Yore that Phillip and Zena built over their long marriage of hard work, largesse and hospitality. All those who enjoyed these times and Zena’s great cooking are warmly bidden to partake of a wonderful send-off.
