100 YEARS AGO TODAY W.W.I. 9th Infantry Batallion, A.I.F. 2630A Corporal William George Campbell Died of wounds in France 18th September, 1918 Aged 30 Years Twice previously wounded he returned to battle: The legendary courage of the ANZACS. Only the grave of a hero, only a mound of earth. Far from the land of the wattle, the land that gave him birth. His heart was good, his spirit brave, his resting place a soldier s grave. NEVER FORGOTTEN. His memory honoured down the generations.
